Welcome to our new website!

Hello World,

We are Massive Miniteam! Welcome to our new website and thanks for having a peek at our blogs.
I’m Brenden Gibbons and I’m Lead Game Designer here. Nice to meet you!

Who are you?

So, if you don’t know yet, we’re a video game studio based in Pulheim, Germany that’s just a stone’s throw away from the city of Cologne. We’re a part of the Embracer Group, via THQ Nordic and HandyGames. Since 2017, we’ve developed our own IP, worked closely with clients small and large around the world, and ported beloved indie games to your favourite consoles!

We’ve ported a lot of games from Little Big Workshop, Chicken Police and Minute of Islands to Scarf, DE-EXIT, Airhead and Pumpkin Jack. We’ve developed the frantic co-op action platformer Spitlings, and, most recently, worked with MGM to create a new video game of the TV Show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? for PC and consoles.

We’re a team of 28 humans and a few Morale Officers (office dogs) from over 10 different countries, speaking over 15 different languages to bring experience and perspective far and wide to our work. With our Morale Officers help, we work hard (but not too hard) to make high quality indie games with love, care, and professionalism.

What are you up to?

So we have our porting projects. We’ve recently ported the atmospheric 3d-platforming adventure game Scarf to PS4/5, Xbox One/Series, and PC GDK, plus the surreal voxel-based afterlife adventure DE-EXIT to Xbox One/Series, Switch and PC GDK!

We’ve also been working hard on a new game that we can’t say too much yet. We’ve been developing this game in full swing for over a year now and are getting to state where we’re about to announce it! You might have even seen a date somewhere on our social media. We can’t wait to show you all of the wonderful things we have in store for you!

I have been told that I’m allowed a few very generic words to tease at what it’ll be. So, let’s do a little linguistic dance, shall we? We’re currently working on something we’ve internally called “Project LOC” and we can describe it as a “a mix of adventure and building strategy game”. I know, it’s not really a lot, but maybe it already sparks your imagination? We have a proper name, but that already hints at a little too much so we can’t say anything yet.

We’ll be able to tell you more very soon and we hope that you look forward to the game announcement when it comes out!

Peace Out,

Your Massive Miniteam
