For the GLARS project of Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln, we augmented several devices to better instruct their students about the processes inside.
With the "X-Ray Vision" of Augmented Reality, the biochemistry students can analyze the path a solution takes through the machine and develop a better understanding of the scientific background behind the workings of complicated lab equipment.
Usually, all the biochemicstry students see when they look at a "Gas Chromatograph with Mass Spectrometry" is this closed front:
But with our App, students can follow the path of a biochemical solution from entry into the system throughout the different steps of analysis until the end result comes out.
